Sports Moment
According to Yahoo.com, during tonight’s playoff game against the Spurs, the Phoenix Suns will be wearing their “Los Suns” jerseys. They will be doing so not just in honor of Cinco de Mayo but in protest of the Phoenix immigration laws. The team got full support from the National Basketball Association and their opponents even tried to get on board by getting “Los Spurs” jerseys made however, their attempts were a little to too late. San Antonio where the Spurs play has a high Mexican population and with the controversy caused by these immigration laws, I’m pretty sure the Phoenix Suns “Los Suns” jerseys will be deeply appreciated by both cities. Having this done on Cinco de Mayo just makes it that much more significant.
